Gold Cross Ambulance Service Inc. offers an EMT Cadet Program, approved by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (WI DHS), that provides paid training while you work toward your National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification and State of Wisconsin EMT license.

Participants receive comprehensive instruction in both cognitive knowledge and psychomotor skills through a combination of classroom education and hands-on patient care experience in the field, preparing them for real-world emergency medical response.

Course Information

Below is the our course outline for the program.

Course Name: Emergency Medical Technician

Start Date: August 2026

End Date: December 2026

Days and Times: Monday and Thursday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM (Unless otherwise specified.)

Location: 1055 Wittmann Drive, Menasha, WI 54952

Tuition: Free!

Qualifications: Applicants should have a high school diploma, minimum age of 18, a clean criminal and driving record, and be able to pass a physical and drug test.

Job Description:

Compensation: Employees will receive hourly compensation for time spent in classroom instruction as well as during scheduled ride-along shifts in the field.
